There are many precautions for the use and installation of gas gate valves. The following are some points sorted out by the editor:
1. The pipeline of the gas gate valve must be in the correct position before installation to prevent the valve body from being strained or cracks.
2. All parts, especially valves, valve rods, and piston rods should be free of dust and contaminants.
3. The gas gate valve should be installed in a suitable place to facilitate inspection and maintenance of the valve.
4. In order to adjust the packing conveniently, there should be enough space on both sides of the valve body.
5. For outdoor installation, the place where the gas gate valve is installed should be covered with a grid or covering as much as possible to avoid harsh weather, such as rain, snow, and frost, so as not to make the valve smooth.
6. It should be prevented from installing in the downward direction, and it can be installed in the horizontal direction. Before installation, check whether the valve has been damaged during transportation and storage. Some protective measures must be used for the gas gate valve when installed.
7. When adding paint to the valve, pay attention to the valve plate, valve stem, cylinder and accessories not to be painted. Before sandblasting, the valve should be covered so that the valve is not damaged as much as possible.
8. In addition, be careful when tightening the screws of the gas gate valve. The blind holes of the valve body and the screw holes with turnbuckles have torque requirements when tightening the screws.
